Genre: Drama
Plot: Henry Carter (Kevin Spacey) is the most hired shrink in Hollywood, with the top celebrity as his clients. But a recent personal tragedy makes him lose some of his connection with what he was. So he turns in to a pothead and have no idea of how to help his patients. One day he meets a troubled girl from the suburb, Jemma (Keke Palmer), that he has to help since his father (Robert Loggia), who's also a shrink send her to him.
I think: A good movie about a sad subject.
But they didn't get the sad feeling I was looking for, and I geuss they wanted, until later in the movie.
I think that they didn't dare to make it all the way, or they didn't want to. But I feel they failed there. A serius subject, but they didn't follow through all the way, they had to mix in some jokes and that ruined it a bit for me.
Sometimes a perfect soundtrack and sometimes I wondered what they where doing, the whole movie was like that.
I liked it, but it could've been better than a good movie, it had the potential to be a great movie, and it makes me a bit dissapointed that they could have made it even better...
Summary: A good movie that didn't really go all the way, sadly.
See it with: Alone, family, the "girls"
