Writer: Bo Zenga

Plot: It's halloween night and a slacker video store employee, Stan Helsing (Stewe Howey), his ex-girlfriend, Nadine (Diora Baird), his best friend, Teddy (Kenan Thompson) and an exotic dancer/"massage therapist", mia (Desi Lydic) is about to go to the greatest Halloween party ever. But Stan just have to drop some movies to the owners mother. On the way to her home they get into a lot of trouble, and it only gets worse. Everyone thinks that Stan is related to van Helsing and that he will save the town.

I think: Actually a lot better than most parody movies, the actors could act!
It was almost as good as the first scary movies. So if you like scary movie I think you'll like this.
It was the usual under-the-belt humor and jokes about a lot known horror movies.
But I was surprised that a Those dancing days song was in the movie.

Summary: A good parody, better than most. we're almost back to the "scary movie"-times.

See it with: The "guys", alone, anyone who like that kind of humor

One last thing (2005)

Imdb

Quote: "When you're born you cry and the world is happy. When you die the world cries and you are happy."

Genre: Drama

Director: Alex Steyermark

Plot: A young man, Dylan Jameison (Michael Angarano) gets a wish granted by "the united wish givers foundation" and he chage his wish in the last moment, so instead for wishing for a fishingtrip with a baseball player he wishes to spend a weekend with the supermodel Nikki Sinclaire (Sunny Mabrey). The movie is about him trying to fullfil his last wish and his struggle against the cancer.

I think: When I started this movie I thought that they would mix it up with bad jokes all the way since I never expect anyone to do a complete serious movie. But luckliy they didn't do that. They went the whole way, and I could really feel his struggle and his fear of dying even if he often didn't show it. It's great actors, great script and a great movie. I almost cried. But the end is kind of a cliché, but I can live with that.

Summary: A great and sad movie, recommended to anyone who can see a serious movie.

See it with: Friends, Family, the "girls", alone (if you think you can handle it, might be good to have someone to discuss it with.)

Trailer

Genre: Drama, Adventure, Thriller, Crime

Director: Ridley Scott

Writer: Callie Khouri

Plot: A henpecked housewife to an unappreachiating man joins her tough waitress-friend on a road trip. What starts as a innocent journey turns after an unfortunate happening, where they shoot a man that tries to rape one of them, suddenly into a nighmare. Instead of escaping their everyday life they now have to run from the police, to return to their homes becomes impossible and their friendship is set at stake.

I think: This is a “classic” movie about friendship between women. It is in some way a tragic but also a very beautiful story about how fast a life can be ruined forever. The first time I saw it I quickly became embroiled in the movie and the whole time I sat and wondered how it would end. This movie is by no means predictable.

Summary: A movie that is definitely worth seeing. It is made to be seen by both men and women, it includes both friendship, passion, a tiny bit of love and a lot of car chases.

See it with: "The girls", "the guys", your mother, alone.

I think: A decent action movie in a futuristic style about a society that actually could happen if we don't watch ourselves.
It is a good action movie with good actors, and i like the idea. But nothing really special.

Summary: Good movie, nothinh special, if you're looking for an action movie thets not all about action I think it's worth seeing.

Shrink (2009)

Quote(s): "It's all bullshit, it's all bullshit and then you die"
"-You have a drinking problem, my friend
-I'm irish"

Genre: Drama

Director: Jonas Pate

Plot: Henry Carter (Kevin Spacey) is the most hired shrink in Hollywood, with the top celebrity as his clients. But a recent personal tragedy makes him lose some of his connection with what he was. So he turns in to a pothead and have no idea of how to help his patients. One day he meets a troubled girl from the suburb, Jemma (Keke Palmer), that he has to help since his father (Robert Loggia), who's also a shrink send her to him.

I think: A good movie about a sad subject.
But they didn't get the sad feeling I was looking for, and I geuss they wanted, until later in the movie.
I think that they didn't dare to make it all the way, or they didn't want to. But I feel they failed there. A serius subject, but they didn't follow through all the way, they had to mix in some jokes and that ruined it a bit for me.
Sometimes a perfect soundtrack and sometimes I wondered what they where doing, the whole movie was like that.
I liked it, but it could've been better than a good movie, it had the potential to be a great movie, and it makes me a bit dissapointed that they could have made it even better...

Summary: A good movie that didn't really go all the way, sadly.

7eventy 5ive (2007)

Imdb

Genre: Horror, thriller

Director: Brian Hooks
Writer: Brian Hooks

Plot: The finals at University of dreyskill are over and it's time to party. A group that is called "the crew" gets invited to a rich classmates house up in the hills of Colorado. What was supposed to be a fun weekend of party and relaxation quickly turns in to a trip they'll never forget... If they survive. After a game of prank scare phone calls, a game called 75, where you should try to keep the person you call on the phone for 75 seconds they have to fight for their lives. After one of the crew makes a call to the wrong person, and is this related to a similar case from ten years earlier?

I think: Overall a classic "scream"-movie.
It reminded me why I never see horror movies. Not the greatest actors or script. I can take that it's a bit unrealistic, I didn't expect it to be realstic, but if someone who needs only one blow to cut of a head needs eight hits to break a closet door I start to wonder.
Sometimes it felt like they were trying to mix a crime movie with a teenage and a horror movie, and failed.
I really hope it wasn't suppose to be scary, cuase I actually thought some scenes and lines were funny, where they shouldn't have been.
And I just have to say: USE YOUR CELLPHONE!
But the actors had their moments and there were some unexpected twists.

Summary: If you liked scream, you might like this one.

I love you man (2009)

Imdb

Quote: "I've gotta get some fucking friends"

Genre: Comedy, Romance

Director: John Hamburg
Writer: John Hamburg

Plot: Peter Klaven (Paul Rudd) is a man without friends and he is about to get married.
With no best man for his wedding and no friend to ask, he goes on a serie of man-dates to try
to find someone he can invite. After a few unsuccesful dates he finally finds Sidney Fife (Jason Segel), a strange guy that he really connects with. But their friendship threaten his marriage.

I think: Really fun movie, I actually laughted out loud at one point. I never laught loud to movies.
I didn't really check out what kind of movie it was before I saw it, a friend told me to see it, so I had no expectations. But when I saw Jason Segel I started to smile, I really love that actor. I don't think I've seen him in anything bad. Great acting, great script, all over a great movie. And that Matt Costa - Mr pitiful is in the soundtrack only makes it better.

Summary: A really good comedy, not so much on the romantic side as a "normal" romantic comedy. See it (unless you don't like things Jason Segel has been in, then avoid it)

Spread (2009)

Or the strange swedish name "L.A. Gigolo"

Genre: Drama, romance

Paul Kolsby (Story)

Plot: Nikki (Ashton Kutcher) lives in L.A., he got no job and no place to live. He sleeps with different women and stay at their places and live on their expense, the only thing he gives them is sex. Then he meet a girl who seem to have him all figured out, and that makes him interested for real.

I think: A good movie about a subculture where people sleep around, not directly for money, but they don't do it for free.
Ashton Kutcher fits this part, even though I think he has kind of a monotonous voice sometimes.

Summary: Good movie, not the normal romantic-comedy. I liked it.

Infestation (2009)

Writer: Kyle Rankin

Plot: A slacker, Cooper (Chris Marquette), wakes up to find himself wrapped in a web, after realizing that the world has been taken over by giant alien bugs. He wakes up a strange group of people and together they are trying to stay alive.

I think: Alot better than I expected. But I didn't expect much. But it was good acting and kind of funny at some points. The strange group was the best part of it.
It wasn't the greatest animations, but decent.

Summary: Decent horror-comedy if that's what you're looking for.
